This project is a redesign of Atlanta’s iconic Marta transportation system. Since its beginnings in the 1970s Marta has used the same visual identity originally designed Peter Rinaldi. Although the visual design has served Marta well for most of its existence I felt it was time for the visuals to be revived and updated.
This redesign introduces a new logo, a brighter and more diverse color palette and a simple but friendly typographic system. In addition, I reworked several brand assets including their signage system, vehicle design, digital assets, physical assets and advertising campaign.
