Great Ocean Road

Typography Enthusiast, Aspiring World Traveler & Self-Labeled Star Wars Nerd

Originally graduating with a music degree in 2010, I have spent the last nine years writing, teaching and playing music. After developing a love for the creative process early on in my music career, I have learned the secret to creativity is not merely talent but hard work and bravery.

I discovered graphic design in 2013 and, having grown up writing and illustrating stories, I knew this would be my next career move. After studying on my own for two years, I enrolled at Savannah College of Art & Design in 2015 and will be finishing up my B.F.A. in graphic design this coming August.

Over the last five years I have developed a deep love for typography and the role it plays in our everyday lives. I believe graphic design is not just about solving problems, but about curiosity and the ability to look at the world in a deeper way in order to connect the dots, discover metaphors and ultimately communicate resonating stories. I believe we have all been intentionally and wonderfully designed, and it is my responsibility as a designer to convey that same craftsmanship and beauty in all the work I create.

When not designing you can usually find me jamming out on the guitar to some of my favorite bands’ latest releases, enjoying good food at Chamblee’s local Taqueria Del Sol or perfecting my latest Spotify playlist. As an aspiring world traveler, I experienced the power of travel during a month long trip to Australia with my wife. During our time there, we explored the Outback, snorkeled the Great Barrier Reef and drove the Great Ocean Road. If you want to read more and see photos about the trip visit our travel blog.
